What You’ll Do
As a key part of our project team, you’ll partner closely with Project Managers to develop accurate, strategic, and competitive estimates across a range of commercial and industrial design-build projects.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents to define project scope
- Performing detailed quantity take-offs across all trades
- Building comprehensive estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, and risk
- Preparing professional bid submissions, proposals, and cost breakdowns
- Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Attending site visits, pre-bid meetings, and walkthroughs to validate scope and conditions
- Maintaining organized estimate records, pricing databases, and historical cost data
- Supporting bid strategy alongside Project Managers to maximize win potential
- Continuously improving estimating accuracy, efficiency, and processes
What You Bring
- Solid working knowledge across multiple trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Flooring, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical construction, estimating, or project coordination
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- High attention to detail with a strong analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and strong work ethic
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with commercial kitchens or food equipment projects
- A strong network of subcontractors and suppliers

Working Conditions

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Post-secondary education, trade certification, or equivalent experience
