Experienced Commercial Service Electricians Wanted
Paramount Services is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Electrician with a strong background in commercial service work.
We are especially interested in candidates who have experience leading jobs, coordinating work on site, mentoring apprentices, or acting as the primary electrician on service projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, dealing directly with customers, and taking ownership of a job from start to finish.
Our commercial and industrial service team works throughout Winnipeg on a wide variety of projects, including troubleshooting, emergency repairs, electrical upgrades, tenant improvements, equipment installations, preventative maintenance, and specialty systems.
What You’ll Do:
Perform commercial and industrial electrical service calls.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and equipment issues.
Complete repairs, upgrades, installations, and preventative maintenance.
Plan and organize service work independently.
Take ownership of jobs from diagnosis through completion.
Lead or coordinate small projects and service jobs when required.
Provide direction and support to apprentices or other team members.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Coordinate with other skilled trades on multi-discipline projects.
Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and project stakeholders.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, approximately one week every 5–6 weeks.
What We’re Looking For:
Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification.
Strong commercial service experience.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service priorities.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Personal hand tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a variety of commercial environments.
Strong Assets:
The following experience will be considered a significant asset:
Job lead, lead hand, foreperson, or site coordination experience.
Experience running commercial service jobs independently.
Experience mentoring or directing apprentices.
Commercial kitchens and foodservice equipment.
Motor controls and specialty electrical systems.
Mechanical equipment troubleshooting.
Building maintenance and service environments.
Lift equipment, fall protection, or other industry certifications.
